The Venue: Events can be a part of a conference, an incentive movement, a product launch or just a stand-alone event. In all cases, an event requires meticulous planning. A ship is always prepared. A ship is running a full-fledged daily theater show with performing artists who require a world-class light show, a great sound system, back-stage areas, and trap doors to complete the act. This is all yours when you want it. There is no hotel or resort who is prepared for an event like this, and you have to make-do with whatever is available there, managing at probably 50% of what your expectations are. Our theater is fully functional and can be used for events. Events also require preparation and planning, and we have just the space for all this. If you want to shy away from the traditional venue of a stage, the ship has many big and small venues, including the ones which are outdoors with the backdrop of a never-ending ocean. There is the sun deck already fitted with a large screen. There is a DJ set up in place. All you should do is think of the event, and the venues are at your beck and call.
The overall costs: The costs of an Event are in multiple layers and the final cots do not come out till the event takes place. This does not happen when you plan an event on the ship. Venues are exact with inclusions clearly laid out, dance troupes and performers are on board, everything is clinically laid out, assisted by superior technology. When costing for an event, you generally cost only for the venue, the tea/coffee services and the food, along with the stay. What hits you later is the excess amounts required for various food & drink requirements, for additional tea/coffee & snacks services and for the ancillaries like the changing rooms. Events also involve interaction with people post the event, where dinner or drinks can be had. Every meal in a hotel is costed for separately. On a ship, all meals are included, and the venues are unmatched. There is no cost to moving over to fun spots after the event due to transportation and logistics. These add-ons eventually become major costs.
Capacity and Capability: When conducting an event, there are many big and small interfaces required for the main event. A ship provides you with multiple level of spaces and places to conduct your activities. A hotel handling a large event is often thrown out of gear as they are not equipped to handle a large crowd. A ship on the other hand, is built for managing a large set of people on an ever day basis. Basis budget considerations, all artists or workers cannot be accommodated in the same hotel which may be a deluxe hotel. This brings along challenges of transportation and timely coordination of efforts. A ship is built for a range which stretches from a 3-star to a 5-star hotel. The capabilities of a ship are very different from a hotel. A ship is used to performers and performances. You can have all the last-minute help and assistance you need. A ship’s technology is world class. You can plan your entire event sitting in the comfort of your office and browsing online. You will get everything from dimensions to availability, prices, options for seating arrangements, capabilities of the sound and light in a particular facility, and pre-event areas. The various venues available will be delight for you when planning for your event.
The activities: An event is not only about that evening or one particular day. It is also a lot about what happens prior to that day or the day after. Keeping the artists and performers relaxed and entertained is as important as keeping the guests in a light mood and busy. When not in the hotel, the event manager is always worried about traffic and whether the artists will reach on time. Even when they reach, will they be in a mood to give their best to the audience. All these questions can be set aside. A ship has multiple activities going on simultaneously which the artists and performers can engage in. They will be relaxed, refreshed, and will be at their best when they finally perform. The agitation of guests, who had to drive miles to reach the event in heavy traffic conditions is also gone, thus you have guests who will enjoy the event to the maximum. The best part is that everyone can interact with each other when we stop at exotic locations for a bit of looking around.
The Food: Good quality events often require a fine dine setting and an elaborate preparation. A ship has a food court catering to masses. The ship also has a few fine dining restaurants who will fulfill this criterion for the event. All the other guests, who need to be fed, have a choice on venues they want to eat at. Food is unlimited available on a ship, unlike a hotel and in a variety of cuisines and menus, unlike the restricted menu of a hotel. The ship also does not restrict you on timings for the food. If the event is let off early, or delayed for some reason, you do not have to go running around asking the kitchens to delay preparations or delay the laying of the tables. We are ready all the time and around the clock. The bit about timing is of particular interest to the Event Managers, as the performers will go and eat as and when convenient, and not on specific allocated times, as is done by any hotel or resort.
Liquor and other drinks: Sit Down dinners often require fine wines, and the ship boasts of a wide range of wines. The cellar contents will surprise you. Service of soft drinks during the event to everyone is often restricted in quantities. We have packages in which we can serve you unlimited, without question. We also have the ability to segregate guests to various levels of liquor plans or treat them like individuals. In a hotel, you have to buy one package for everyone. On a ship, which is used to treating a large crowd as individual guests, we can personalize this package for you for smaller sets of people, in the same or different venues. You will be surprised at the versatility of a ship and the handling ability of large events at an individual level.
Entertainment: Before the event and after the event, people often want to relax or go dancing, as the mood may be. In most cases, as the events go on for long into the night, most of the venues in the hotel or around the hotel are closed and the selection remains slim. You may have to venture out of the hotel into the night to get what you want. The first stark difference is that a ship has everything from a quiet poolside bar or an ocean-view open bar, to a sizzling discotheque. You can opt for what your choice is, without hassling yourself with transportation, reservations, and travel. The second big difference is that most of the venues are open till the last guest leaves. This is unlike land where there are restrictions by local laws to close at a certain time. Then there is the casino which becomes the hot favorite after such soulful events. You can walk down to the atrium and just sip a quiet coffee if that is what the mood dictates.
If there is still a doubt on the benefits of holding an event on a ship rather than on land. Consider this. All the venues are within walking distance, and so are your rooms. Various categories of rooms are available to accommodate all possible guest types. No one must rush from one place to another in a car, minding the traffic conditions and the vehicle availability. A ship will be efficient on all fronts for any event, be it large or small. You can charter the entire ship for your dream event, or just book the limited number of guests that you want to bring on board.
We have an expert team handling events, and you will find that you do not need to look for artists and performers. They are already on board the vessel. Our teams are experienced in handling all sorts of events, and our customized menu-driven option base will allow you to manage everything online in terms of choices and timings. No hidden costs will pop up at the last minute. We hope to see you soon.
