The Venue:  Planning of a perfect wedding takes time, effort, and money. If it is a destination wedding that you are looking for, visiting locations may not be a possibility, and you depend on the pictures. If you are looking for an in-city wedding, then visiting hotels, scouting for venues, and getting their dimensions to check if those are suitable is a huge task. Sit back and relax. The overall costs: Check the overall pricing level when you look at star hotels in a city or at an exotic location. Add the costs of transport and stay, with food and in-between meals. Check the overall level of coordination required and, in some cases, the manpower required to coordinate all these efforts. What happens if a set of people are late for a meal? No hotel is going to keep food warm and serve them lunch at 4 PM. No bus contractor is going to make two trips when he was paid for one if a few people are delayed in their rooms. All this will cost extra. Include the cost of going to all the locations to short list the ones you want for the wedding and then add the cost of the overall decor, rentals, etc. A cruise ship is far cheaper than any location of the same level.  

Capacity and Capability: Did you know that no hotel is staffed for a wedding or for running on full capacity for a few days in a row? They either will hire temporary staff for such an event or will try to make do with the limitation on manpower which exists in the system. Either way, the overall level of service will fall when you are going through your dream wedding. On the exact opposite note, a cruise ship is always staffed to handle the maximum capacity that it can take on, in terms of number of passengers. So be it a wedding or just individual clients, a ship is always ready, with trained and professional service staff.    Most of our ships are large. The larger one has a capacity of nearly 2,000 people. If you have a large wedding, where do you find hotels, to accommodate 1,00 people or more. Even if the hotel has those many rooms, the rooms will not necessarily be empty when your wedding dates are due. A ship, on the contrary, empties out after every sailing, and fills up again. Thus, all rooms are empty at the same time. Imagine having to coordinate between guest staying in 3 or 4 different hotels, even if they are nearby. The amount of coordination, logistics, transport, and related costs will be exorbitant. No such troubles on a ship. No hidden costs related to any of these issues.  

The activities: Ask any wedding planner and this is on top of their list. How to keep the guests occupied during the day when all functions are during the evenings. They jump through hoops by organizing games and activities to ensure guests have something to do, and these things are not only an addition to the overall costs but are also not liked by everyone. Come on board a cruise ship. There is so much activity to engage people through the day for many days. Be it the sun deck, the pool, the lounges, the casino, theaters, DJ deck or the large screen movie fun, there is always something to do. All this comes at no additional cost and takes away the boredom from the guests. Everyone is free to do their own thing. No planning, no additional costs, no logistics and no anxieties.   

The Food:  A hotel or resort depends on timing and discipline to ensure sch an event is a success. A ship has no such dependencies. A hotel will fix your menus, fix the timing of the food service and everything over and beyond this will cost you additional money, including room service which many guests will order. Food is in abundance on the ship and available at all hours. Various cuisines are already showcased and offered, so you do not have to tie down yourself to a particular menu or cuisine. You do not have to worry if some guests are not able to make it for the breakfast between 8AM and 10AM. As the food is available at all hours, there are no room service bills. The in-between snacks service, which would generally cost you quite a bit, are all there on a ship at no extra cost.   

Liquor and other drinks: This is where you will spend most of your money. If you are going to have a wedding without alcohol, there will still be those few who will want access to the drinks. Any such activity will require a license, and lots of negotiations on the price, on a land hotel. On a ship, alcohol is comparatively Cheaper, the ships can handle specific groups of people with different requirements and at different venues, all at the same time.   

Entertainment: This is the final nail when the event happens. The DJ must close by 11. The venues must be shut by midnight and the food service will not beyond 11:30 PM. Ask anyone and you will know these are the limitations of the land hotels, and they are not to blame. However, we are in the middle of the ocean. You can play the DJ till 6 in the morning, you can use the venues for as long as you want, within the booked time. Food is never an issue. Unlike each entertainment venue on land, which may require a separate permission, a cruise ship has multiple levels of entertainment venues and activities, which do not require any permissions. You do not have to go hunting for a dance troupe or a DJ. You do not have to go looking for venues for exclusive small functions. Everything is right there. There is a SPA on board, so no rushing to the beauty parlor.
